Windcheetah

The Windcheetah still remains the only trike to have set six significant speed and endurance records as well as having the honour of being exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Guggenheim.

“When the Windcheetah was re-launched in its revised format we asked Peter and his team to handle all aspects of the graphics and printed media. The unusual oblong brochure and its accompanying envelope which Peter designed became something of a classic and these are now sought after by Windcheetah enthusiasts. More importantly, the brochure reflected the technical nature of the product and highlighted the craftsmanship which went into the construction of each machine.

I think the best way of describing the impact the brochure had on potential customers was a comment which I heard frequently when customers arrived at the factory for the first time, invariably they would walk in the workshop and say “I didn’t realise how small the company was, from the look of your advertising material I imagined a much larger operation” I believe it was this perception created by the brochure which accounted for our very successful market penetration into Europe and North America.

Without any formal US dealer network we sold significant numbers of vehicle over there from our base in Altrincham. This was achieved simply by mailing brochures to interested customers. The conversion rate was astonishing, something like one sale per ten brochures mailed to the US.”
